About the GSSP
The Undergraduate Global Student Success Program (GSSP) is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree program. The GSSP consists of for-credit coursework and provides an academic and cultural bridge from your high school experience to studying at Virginia Commonwealth University.
When you successfully complete the GSSP, you will move directly into the second year of your undergraduate degree program at the Virginia Commonwealth University.
- VCU student from day one
- No SAT or ACT required for admission
- Receive academic credits toward your VCU degree
- Small class sizes and additional student support provided
- Overall GPA of 2.5
- Minimum number of credits: 30
If students do not place into the math or writing course (based on university's assessment scores), an additional semester may be necessary. Courses also subject to change.
